Increase of Trigonelline in Trigonella persica Plant under Drought Stress

چکیده

Trigonella persica is a valuable medicinal plant which comprises trigonelline that secondary metabolite and important component in cosmetic medicine. This research was conducted order to evaluation the drought stress effect on growth parameters, root anatomical changes content T. persica. Plants were grown under soil moisture corresponding 100%, 75%, 50% 25% field capacity for two weeks. The data showed significantly decreased fresh weight dry of shoot root. In addition, leaf area declined due stress. Interestingly, length enhanced by Root microscopic study demonstrated increased thickness epidermal, endodermal, vascular bundle, central cylinder parenchyma Drought caused significant increment alkaloid aerial parts roots These results revealed responded increasing trigonelline, as well Considering importance trigonline alkaloids, this work may open prospects production pharmaceutically metabolites thereby
